How
to Build Your List Using Your Downlines
-
Your downlines are an
important source of your list-building. Many beginning net
marketers do not build their own subscriber list using a autoresponder.
But pretty much everybody tries to build downlines in one
program or another. These two things should be done at the
same time.
Here is
what I do. When I get new downline members, I send them a
welcome letter, where I mention that they are going to receive an
invitation to subscribe for the training letters about the program.
I then enter their name and e-mail address to my
autoresponder campaign. The majority of people subscribe.
The rate depends on your welcome letter, how soon you send it
after the person enrolls, and the wording in the title and the body of
the confirmation request. It also depends on how interested
this person is in receiving training for this particular program.
Getting your downline members into your autoresponder serves two
important purposes. First, it automates your follow-up.
There is no need to send individual letters anymore.
If you want to send a special broadcast to all your members,
you can do it using your autoresponder. You broadcast will be
send to everybody on your list. It will automatically include
people's names if you choose this option.
Many programs offer a free trial. In this case I have two
different follow-up series: one is for free members and the other is
for
upgraded members. The first series tells about the benefits
of the program and encourages my downline to upgrade. The
other series explains my upgraded members how to build their downlines,
how to advertise and use the tools available within the program.
This type of automated follow-up increases the upgrade rate and reduces
your personal time spent on training of your downline members.
If your free trial members receive the whole series of your
letters but are not upgraded yet, you can recycle them (which means you
can send them the same series again). Some people need to
receive the same letter twice or more than twice before they respond.
You can also choose to stop encouraging them to upgrade in
this particular program, but promote something else instead.
If you don't have follow-up letters, ask your sponsor or the program.
The second purpose of getting your downline members on your list is to
build your subscriber base. Even the most effective programs
do not have upgrade rates higher than about 30%. It means
that the best case scenario is that around 70% or your
downline members will never become active. If you do not get
these people into your autoresponder, they are lost.
If you get these people into your autoresponder, you can promote other
programs and products to them, send them a newsletter, or anything else.
What about people you recruit to traffic exchanges, safelists and other
types of advertising programs? Try to get them on your list!
Whenever I have time, I send them a welcome letter.
If the traffic exchange allows, I transfer some advertising
credits to them (it's a great feature; use it). You can
either invite them to subscribe to receive a training course about how
to use traffic exchanges (or safelists), if you have such a course, or
have a signature at the bottom of your welcome letter saying something
like:
Subscribe
to my newsletter and receive a free gift
or
How
to get a free gift
Instead of the word 'gift' insert the name of the product you can give
away for free. Try to find something of value: a useful e-book,
graphics package, software, etc. There are plenty of sites where you
can get free stuff. You can purchase a product with resell
rights and give it away free.
I use GetResponse
autoresponder to send training letters. In addition to other
excellent features, GetResponse allows to easily copy subscribers from
one campaign to another. This is important because
you
don't need to ask your subscribers to subscribe again to receive a
different series of letters. When my free downline members
upgrade, I simply copy them to the campaign for upgraded members and
delete them from the campaign for free members. GetResponse
offers a free membership with limited feature, but you will want to
eventually upgrade.
If you don't have a domain name or a hosting account, or don't know how
and where to get lead-capture pages, then TrafficWave
autoresponder is a great choice. TrafficWave will give you pre-made
templates for lead-capture pages and will host them for you.
You can get as many of them as you want. This is a
great option for newbies.
If you are looking for the most professional solution, highest
deliverability rates, and the greatest ability to monetize your list, AWeber
is the choice. You will need a domain name and your own
hosting to create lead-capture pages.

Now, you don't need lead-capture pages to follow up with your downline.
You simply add your downline members to your autoresponder.
But you
will need lead-capture pages to build your list from other sources.
As a temporary solution you can use TrafficTornado
or TrafficExchangeList
to create a lead-capture page free. These two program will
host it for you.

Writing --
This Advertising Method
Produces Long-Term Income
-
Article
writing is a great way to generate income. The biggest
disadvantage of this method is that it takes time and some research.
The advantage is that it has no or low cost. And the
benefits include establishing yourself as an expert,
generating traffic to your site, and getting recurring
long-term income.
There are many places on the Internet to submit/publish articles.
Here are some of the most popular ones:
GoArticles.com
EzineArticles.com
For
more sites and other article-writing information, look up this site:

Publishers of websites and blogs look for good published
articles to add to their content. If they like your article,
it will be included together with your resource box and links to your
website. These publishers need articles to get profits from
AdSense, to generate traffic and activity on their blogs.
And search engines love articles!
As with other advertising methods, however, a good strategy is
important here. You want to maximize your profits and
minimize your time and effort.
You can learn the best strategies behind successful article-writing
campaigns from the expert, Dylan Loh. He created a great
course, which will shorten your learning by months. His course teaches
the best places to submit articles, how to submit, how to create an
article that would attract publishers, how to optimize your article for
keywords, rank your article high for search engines, and much more
...
